Where It All Started

The Origin of YC Analytics

YC Analytics began with a simple realization: when organizations have clear, structured data, they make better decisions.

Early in his career, founder Yasim Cruz worked for an aviation support company in Anchorage, Alaska, where he was responsible for managing flight schedules and transportation data for cargo airline operations. After identifying inefficiencies in the company's billing process, he taught himself Visual Basic and Crystal Reports and redesigned the reporting system. Converting paper-based processes into a fully digital platform.

The new system improved efficiency, reduced manual work, and generated more than $500,000 in additional revenue within six months. That experience demonstrated the powerful impact that structured data and reporting systems can have on operational performance.

That realization eventually led to the creation of YC Analytics.

Meet the Founder

About Yasim Cruz

YC Analytics was founded by Yasim Cruz, a technology and aviation professional with extensive experience working in complex technical and operational environments.

Yasim served five years in the United States Navy as a jet engine mechanic supporting P-3 Orion and MH-60 Seahawk aircraft. Naval aviation demands precision, disciplined procedures, and accurate documentation. An environment that deeply shaped his systems-oriented mindset. After his military service, he continued supporting naval aviation through defense contracting roles as a quality assurance inspector and maintenance supervisor.

He later transitioned into federal service supporting advanced aviation programs, where he provided fleet training and worked in software configuration and data management roles responsible for maintaining the integrity and organization of critical technical documentation and system data.

With over 20 years of experience across IT services and aviation operations, Yasim has supported enterprise systems for thousands of users, including technical support for Wells Fargo operations and large-scale system deployments. He is also a licensed private pilot with more than 250 hours of flight experience.

He is currently completing a Bachelor's degree in Software Development with a concentration in Business Data Analytics. This combination of aviation systems experience, technical expertise, and analytics training provides the foundation for everything YC Analytics delivers.
